Canon New F-1 35mm SLR Camera w/ Eye Level Finder FN & Screen AE - *Read*

$198.95

I have my Canon New F-1 35mm SLR film camera available for purchase.
This is the later F-1, made from 1981 to 1991. This one is dated September 1985.
SN 240548
The Eye Level Finder FN is dated May 1985.
The Focusing Screen FN is the AE, a split-image microprism type for the easiest focusing.

I'm selling it as-is for repair or parts. No returns.
The meter works and appears accurate compared to my other Canon F-1s (see pic 12).
All knobs, levers, switches, and dials work properly.
The shutter doesn't always fire below 1/125, and when it does, it will hang up the mirror. At 1/125 and above, the shutter fires but doesn't sound accurate.
Film advance is smooth.
The viewfinder is clear and bright.
The battery compartment is clean (see pic 5). It uses an easy-to-find A-544 battery (not included).
The Canon body cap is included.

***It likely needs service and a CLA to return it to full operation***

The camera is super clean and damage-free. There's a hint of brassing along the usual spots, but it's not distracting (see my detailed pics).

So, there it is. If you're OK with getting it serviced, you'll get a great, professional-grade camera with a solid reputation. Don't purchase it if you're not comfortable with repairs or making adjustments.

Smoke-free home and studio.

I mail daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does your shop offer combined shipping?

Yes, just let us know and we'll work something out. No need to pay for shipping more than once.

Does your shop accept returns?

Yes, but with some exceptions. No returns on custom-made items. Part two - we will gladly accept a return within 14 days as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Specifically, if an item is new and unused and in its original box and packaging it must be returned in an unused and unopened condition. Vintage and classic cameras, lenses, and certain pieces of vintage photogear carry no warranties or guarantees. By their very nature, older cameras are just that, old, and their electronics, levers, knobs, buttons, and dials can fail at any time. Let us know if you are returning something, maybe we can reach an agreement short of a full return. Part three - you will always pay for return shipping. Thanks

Will my purchase arrive well packaged?

Always! Carol and I take great care (and pride) in packaging your purchase. We are mindful of being "green" but often times green doesn't protect your package properly. We have been shipping items safely since 2003. We must say, however, that we are not responsible for mishandling by the carrier(s) or loss of an item. Most items and especially valuable items will always have insurance added.

How can I contact your shop?

We are on Etsy almost every day and the best way to get our attention is by starting an Etsy convo. We'll answer you quickly. We're generally in the shop until 11 PM EST.

Does your shop ever do custom orders?

Yes, we do. Just let us know what you want or are looking for and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Does your shop accept a best offer?

We think we have everything priced properly but we are here to make a sale and keep our customers happy. Let us know if you want to make an offer on something. I'm sure we will find a way to reach an accord.
