Very nice Vintage 1930s Minolta Six
Medium Format 6x6 cm 120 Roll Film Camera
with its Original Leather Case - SN 8131
*It has been tested (without film) and the shutter does fire,
the aperture blades adjust correctly and the various
knobs, dials and levers all function.
*The shutter below 1/100th is sluggish which
is typical for such an older camera.
*The optics look pretty good but I do see some haze, dust
and maybe a few mold spots. If you are accomplished
at internally cleaning lenses I believe this could be an
*The leather case is in amazing condition given its age.
It has not fully separated anywhere but it's close.
It will need some repairs to make it last another 80 years.
***It is sold for repair, display or for parts or it could be
used as-is for some interesting images.
It’s also a groundbreaking camera that did not use
traditional leather bellows or a metal body – the body
and bellows are made of Bakelite which is an early plastic.
I’ve read some conflicting information about the release date
(some say as early as 1935) but it seems like November 1936
is where Minolta puts its introduction.
Minolta's first 6x6 cm film camera and I believe the first
camera made in Japan in this format. This is a pre-war
camera - not many of these are still around today.
Add this rather rare camera to your collection as not
many show up for sale.
Please check out the detailed pics of the actual camera
that you will receive. It's the best way to judge the
condition for yourself. Ask questions if you're not sure of something.
It is a two owner camera and I am the second owner.

Yes and always! Just let us know and we'll work something out. No need to pay for shipping more than once.
Yes but with some minor exceptions. If it was a custom made item we do not accept returns. Good communication before the sale will eliminate returns. Part two... we will gladly accept a returned item (within 14 days) as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Let us know if you are returning something... maybe we can reach an agreement short of a full return. Part three... you will always pay for return shipping.
Always! Carol and I take great care (and pride) in packaging your purchase. We always are mindful of being "green" but often times green doesn't protect your package properly. We have been shipping our items out safely since 2003. We must say however, that we are not responsible for gross mishandling by the carrier(s) or loss of an item. Valuable items will always have insurance added.
We are on Etsy almost everyday and the best way to get our attention is by starting an Etsy convo. We'll answer you quickly.
Yes we can... our shop and studios are super flexible. Just let us know what you're thinking and Carol can make it happen!
We think we have everything properly priced but we are here to make a sale and keep our customers happy. Let us know if you want to make an offer on something. I'm sure we will find a way to reach an accord.
