This is by far the nicest Canon A-1 in our collection
and one of the best Canons we've ever owned.
The camera's date code is U737F which is July 1980.
The instruction book is super mint too. Perfect!
The book is dated March 1980.

The box is original and comes complete
with foam inserts. The box is solid with
only one slight tear in one upper corner. There's
a bit of age discoloration on the top
and bottom parts, but the sides are sharp, clean, and
colorful (that's Jean-Claude Killy, 1968 Gold Medalist).
There is a price sticker for $499 on one end.

The Canon body cap and Olympic lens cap are also
super clean. The original strap, hot shoe cover, and
strap clips are also included. Oh, the
clear plastic cover for the base plate and plastic bag
for the camera are also included. A new Energizer
battery is also included.
The Olympic Gold Medallion is mint.

***This Canon uses all of the Canon
FD lenses (which is a bunch!) and
uses the Canon Power Winder A
and Canon Databack A.

Smoke and pet-free home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does your shop offer combined shipping?

Yes, just let us know and we'll work something out. No need to pay for shipping more than once.

Does your shop accept returns?

Yes, but with some exceptions. No returns on custom-made items. Part two - we will gladly accept a return within 14 days as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Specifically, if an item is new and unused and in its original box and packaging it must be returned in an unused and unopened condition. Vintage and classic cameras, lenses, and certain pieces of vintage photogear carry no warranties or guarantees. By their very nature, older cameras are just that, old, and their electronics, levers, knobs, buttons, and dials can fail at any time. Let us know if you are returning something, maybe we can reach an agreement short of a full return. Part three - you will always pay for return shipping. Thanks

Will my purchase arrive well packaged?

Always! Carol and I take great care (and pride) in packaging your purchase. We are mindful of being "green" but often times green doesn't protect your package properly. We have been shipping items safely since 2003. We must say, however, that we are not responsible for mishandling by the carrier(s) or loss of an item. Most items and especially valuable items will always have insurance added.

How can I contact your shop?

We are on Etsy almost every day and the best way to get our attention is by starting an Etsy convo. We'll answer you quickly. We're generally in the shop until 11 PM EST.

Does your shop ever do custom orders?

Yes, we do. Just let us know what you want or are looking for and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Does your shop accept a best offer?

We think we have everything priced properly but we are here to make a sale and keep our customers happy. Let us know if you want to make an offer on something. I'm sure we will find a way to reach an accord.
