Vintage Yashica Yashica-Mat 6x6 Medium Format TLR Camera - Rare Complete Boxed Set - 100% Tested - Collector Quality

Sorry, this item has sold.

I have my Yashica Yashica-Mat 6x6 TLR set for sale.
It's from late 1957.
Yashima Optical made it before the name became Yashica in 1958.

The outer shipping box and the inner presentation box are original to the camera
and feature matching serial numbers. The inner box has the cardboard inserts. The boxes are
both in excellent condition (which is extremely rare).

This medium-format (120 roll films) twin-lens reflex film camera
shoots 6x6cm images with its super sharp 80mm Lumaxar lens made by Tomioka Optical.

What is included: The camera (SN 75703), the proper metal bayonet mount Yashica lens cap, the boxes (with inserts), the instruction booklet, a sales brochure, a take-up spool, and two silica packs.

Tested: It's been tested without developing film. All levers, knobs, levers, and other mechanical features work as designed. The lenses look clean and clear. The aperture blades move smoothly and are oil-free. The shutter works properly down to 1/25th of a second. The slowest speeds are sluggish (typical on a vintage TLR). The speeds most often used are 1/50, 1/100, 1/250, and 1/500, which sound accurate. If you feel the slow speeds should work, then a simple CLA will restore them.

The camera is super clean (again, rare in a camera of this vintage). The focus is smooth and spot on. Film advance and shutter cocking are done with the wind lever, and it's smooth and functional.

*Picture 10 shows a tiny ding and some paint loss. This is the only 'distracting' issue with an otherwise pristine camera—a true gem.

I own many TLRs in my collection and am now passing them along to other collectors.

Smoke and pet-free home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does your shop offer combined shipping?

Yes, just let us know and we'll work something out. No need to pay for shipping more than once.

Does your shop accept returns?

Yes, but with some exceptions. No returns on custom-made items. Part two - we will gladly accept a return within 14 days as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Specifically, if an item is new and unused and in its original box and packaging it must be returned in an unused and unopened condition. Vintage and classic cameras, lenses, and certain pieces of vintage photogear carry no warranties or guarantees. By their very nature, older cameras are just that, old, and their electronics, levers, knobs, buttons, and dials can fail at any time. Let us know if you are returning something, maybe we can reach an agreement short of a full return. Part three - you will always pay for return shipping. Thanks

Will my purchase arrive well packaged?

Always! Carol and I take great care (and pride) in packaging your purchase. We are mindful of being "green" but often times green doesn't protect your package properly. We have been shipping items safely since 2003. We must say, however, that we are not responsible for mishandling by the carrier(s) or loss of an item. Most items and especially valuable items will always have insurance added.

How can I contact your shop?

We are on Etsy almost every day and the best way to get our attention is by starting an Etsy convo. We'll answer you quickly. We're generally in the shop until 11 PM EST.

Does your shop ever do custom orders?

Yes, we do. Just let us know what you want or are looking for and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Does your shop accept a best offer?

We think we have everything priced properly but we are here to make a sale and keep our customers happy. Let us know if you want to make an offer on something. I'm sure we will find a way to reach an accord.
