This is the last Canon EF in my extensive collection. I've always enjoyed Canon's EF, and this one is a gem. It's super clean and shiny, and it still looks new. The lens and body are in mint condition. If I'm being picky, there are some marks on the baseplate (see pic #10); otherwise, there are no other significant marks or scratches to point out. Please see my detailed pictures to judge for yourself.
The instruction book is complete, with just a few edge folds and tears, mainly on the covers. One page has some highlighter marks; otherwise, there is no other writing. The box shows some shelf wear but is solid and clean. The SN on the box does not match the camera.
*The Canon EF is an amazing camera and can be used in shutter priority auto exposure (AE)
(you set the speed, and the camera sets the aperture), or in full manual mode. The shutter can time an exposure up to 30 seconds long, and the mechanical shutter tops out at 1/1000 of a second. The body is based on the professional Canon F-1 and has many of the same features and rugged build quality. The meter is active and accurate (see pic #8).
The lens operates as designed, and it's super clean and has bright markings. The focus is smooth and accurate. The aperture blades are snappy and oil-free, and the lens mounts securely. Some very minor dust specs are inside, but that's typical for a vintage lens and won't affect the final image.
Film tested. The shutter is accurate, the film advance lever is smooth, and all
levers and knobs work perfectly. The built-in light meter is accurate. The viewfinder is bright and clear.

Specifically, if an item is new and unused and in its original box and packaging it must be returned in an unused and unopened condition. Vintage and classic cameras, lenses, and certain pieces of vintage photogear carry no warranties or guarantees. By their very nature, older cameras are just that, old, and their electronics, levers, knobs, buttons, and dials can fail at any time.
