This is the last Canon EF in my extensive collection. I've always enjoyed Canon's EF, and this one is a gem. It's super clean and shiny, and it still looks new. The body is in mint condition. The baseplate has very minor marks and faint scratches. In picture #15, I can see a small mark on the prism. On the camera's left side, just below the film counter, I can see a hint of brass showing from the strap lug. I'm being super picky, but that's the way I am with my cameras. Please see my detailed pictures to judge for yourself. The battery compartments are clean and free of corrosion. The box shows some shelf wear, but is clean and solid, as are the foam inserts.
The instruction book is complete and is in Japanese. I have an English edition listed in my shop. The price list has some red ink marks here and there. The FD lens book is in mint condition. The books are from 1976.
*The Canon EF is a fantastic camera and can be used in shutter priority auto exposure (AE)
(you set the speed, and the camera sets the aperture), or in full manual mode. The shutter can time an exposure up to 30 seconds long, and the mechanical shutter tops out at 1/1000 of a second. The body is based on the professional Canon F-1 and shares many of its features and rugged build quality. The meter is active and accurate (see pics #17 & 18).
The shutter is accurate, the film advance lever is smooth, and all levers and knobs work perfectly. The built-in light meter is correct compared to my Canon F-1s.
Buy with confidence, buy from a collector.

Part two - we will gladly accept a return within 14 days as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Specifically, if an item is new and unused and in its original box and packaging it must be returned in an unused and unopened condition. Vintage and classic cameras, lenses, and certain pieces of vintage photogear carry no warranties or guarantees. By their very nature, older cameras are just that, old, and their electronics, levers, knobs, buttons, and dials can fail at any time.
