Montgomery Ward "35" Viewfinder 35mm Film Camera
- Vintage 1955 - Rather Rare - Made by Taiyōdō Kōki K.K. (Beauty Camera)
- Fully Working! Shutter speeds are correct (even Bulb),
the aperture blades are good, the focus is smooth,
and the aperture ring turns easily.

Rather rare to see one of these in such an outstanding condition after all these years.
Made by Beauty Camera for Montgomery Ward & Company around 1955.

The lens is a coated f/2.8 45mm 4 element lens
made by Taiyōdō Kōki K.K. (later Beauty Camera) of Tokyo.

This was the first 35mm viewfinder produced by Beauty.

The lens has some internal dust and debris and a bit of fungus.
The viewfinder has some dust and debris but is still bright.
The leatherette is clean and tight. All levers, dials, knobs, and
latches work properly.

It was not tested with film but I see no reason for it not to work.
It is sold as a collector camera - a great way to add a really hard to find
early Japanese viewfinder camera to your collection.

The leather case is in amazing condition after all these years.

in an air-conditioned home.

Yes and always! Just let us know and we'll work something out. No need to pay for shipping more than once.

Does your shop accept returns?

Yes but with some minor exceptions. If it was a custom made item we do not accept returns. Good communication before the sale will eliminate returns. Part two... we will gladly accept a returned item (within 14 days) as long as it is returned to us in the same condition as when we sent it to you. Let us know if you are returning something... maybe we can reach an agreement short of a full return. Part three... you will always pay for return shipping.

Will my purchase arrive well packaged?

Always! Carol and I take great care (and pride) in packaging your purchase. We always are mindful of being "green" but often times green doesn't protect your package properly. We have been shipping our items out safely since 2003. We must say however, that we are not responsible for gross mishandling by the carrier(s) or loss of an item. Valuable items will always have insurance added.
